曲尾的「I miss you, Mike」,網友四方格說Mike是錄音師,我不知答案,只知當時劉美君在美國懷孕時錄這碟,碟上資料有寫錄音室是The House Of Music Studio, USA,而錄音師名叫Michael Weisinger。

中段玩rap,如劉文娟的「星期六晚望住天花板」《遍霧遍雨的一夜》、林子祥「我一個傻佬走去紅館睇騷」《阿Lam日記》、杜德偉「仲係咪咁鍾意羅拔狄尼路」《影子舞》,演繹聲音都是商台人,如蘭茜等,結尾的是《霎時衝動》顏聯武。

仍以夢劇院名義推出的歌曲,但李敏已遠走,剩下劉文娟獨撐,推出新曲加remix《第六感》。《白河夜船》來自日本女作家吉本芭娜娜小說,延續夢劇院的書院女生文藝味。

受廣播劇熱潮影響的獨白歌曲,可說是第一代劇場版,和曾路得+俞琤《天各一方》同一代,何嘉麗+鄭丹瑞《無可奉告》是第二代,張麗瑾+鄭丹瑞《留給最愛的說話》是第三代,之後才有90年代的郭靜。

謝謝你的links,看了你的blog,情懷濃烈,流行曲都是我們的成長印證。最驚訝是許冠傑的G-cassette,不知還有沒有其他歌手出過類似的盒帶呢?

Chi, thank you for reading my posts. It is good to know that I have at least one audience :-)

I know for sure that Paula Tsui’s first album with Contec, 徐小鳳全新歌集, also had cassette released in the same style as Sam Hui’s 新的開始. At the time Contec was very extravagant in packaging their products. It is hard to describe it since I had already threw it away, the cassette actually came in a box made out of cardboard paper, with the cassette slide in the middle of the box. So the whole package was much bigger than the usual cassette tape. A lot of record stores had to put it on a different counter since it didn’t fit in the regular cabinet (it probably is a marketing strategy)

However, I think shortly after 新的開始 Contec realized that style was over-indulgent, or Sam’s album just didn’t sell enough to cover the cost. All the Contec releases after 新的開始 had gone back to the regular style. That went with the second edition of 徐小鳳全新歌集 and 新的開始 as well.

I don’t know if Contec was the first one to come up with that design. If they were, they didn’t give it a name. So technically Sony was still correct if they said only 憶蓮, 灰色 and 因你別離 had been released in G-cassette. In fact that is a very common tactic of Sony the Japanese electronic company, slightly modifies some existing design and repackages it as their own original.
